The manual operation of the multi-axis controlled machine tool requires us the skill even for the easy machining. In the research, the interface function for 5-axis controlled machine tool is developed, which teaches the machining movement for models displayed on the monitor by using the haptic device used for the field of virtual reality. The taught movement is reproduced on the machine tool, and the actual machining is performed. In this report, basic functions of the system ware examined, the function for generating the cutter location data was developed, and some experiments were performed.
