This study aims at developing the CAM system that utilizes a haptic device and enables even beginners to machine a complicated shape easily and safely by using turning machine. The characteristic of haptic device is that can be presented to the operator physical force sense such as shock and vibration in the virtual space. Using the force sense, functions to guide the operator to the suitable operation by limiting the tool movement. In this report, we present the interface that can conveniently set the parameter of the tool, and the interface function that allows the operator to intuitively generate the tool path with the support of force sense from HD. As the result of some experiments, the usefulness of developed system was actually confirmed.
