At present, in production field, the polishing process has been performed by handwork of skilled workers. In order to liberate these labor forces, we have considered the automation of polishing process by using an industrial robot. In the previous research, the generation of robot program for polishing operation using CAD/CAM system was already proposed. However, it had considered only simple plane and monotonous surface. Therefore, in this report, we propose the new technique to generate polishing path for complex surface with changing radius of curvature, which will be used to achieve the automation of polishing process by industrial robot.
